The Stillwater Collective resides in a landmark 19th-century structure originally built in 1838 as the First Presbyterian Church of Stillwater. Perched in the heart of the township at 901 Main Street, the building stands as a testament to early American craftsmanship and spiritual gathering.
Designed in a restrained Greek Revival style, the building features original woodwork, arched sash windows, hand-hewn beams, and a vaulted sanctuary that floods with natural light. Its historic belfry—visible from the surrounding valley—once echoed through the community with Sunday calls to worship and wartime announcements.
Now thoughtfully adapted for 21st-century use, the structure retains its serene and sacred ambiance while offering modern amenities for cultural programming. With soaring ceilings, acoustically rich interiors, and flexible open-floor space, the building remains an anchor for collective memory and creative expression in Stillwater.
